enrich the lives of the people of our community through a broad
spectrum of live professional theatre and performance opportunities

Wayside Theatre is to become…

acclaimed professional performing arts organization
in our tri-state region.
By providing
extraordinary entertainment and educational value, diverse audiences
are attracted from far and near, and leave enthusiastic and excited to
share "the wonder" of their experiences.
By enriching the lives of our community members, by providing
opportunities to participate and contribute to the arts in meaningful
ways, and by placing special emphasis on developing the talents of our
youths - we will be a vital asset to and partner with all our
surrounding communities.
As we become "a cherished community experience," serving as
a model that others seek to follow - we will best guarantee the
perpetuity of the Wayside Theatre.

| Virginia Commission for
the Arts |
| Wayside
Theatre is deeply grateful to the Virginia Commission for the Arts for
their support of this theatre over the past 36 years. This state
agency supports the arts through funding from the General Assembly and
the National Endowment for the Arts, distributing over 5 million
dollars annually in grants to not-for-profit arts organizations such
as Wayside Theatre, individual artists, educational institutions, and
local government agencies to provide financial and technical
assistance to make all of the arts flourish in our great state. Your
enjoyment of today's performance is greatly enhanced by all that they
do to enrich the cultural life of Virginia. |
